Tomorrow Jen needs to work in DC and will drop off me and Lily at a Metro station; we’re going to one of the Smithsonian museums (which one remains to be determined).  I suspect it will be the Museum of Natural History.  Lily was looking at the Smithsonian website and her eyes lit up at the sight of the Hope diamond.  I think she would really like to see the geology, gems, and minerals displays, which also fits in well with all that she learned at the Hitchcock Center for the Environment this spring.  We may also scamper around the Mall and postulate why the Washington Monument looks the way it does.  I guess we will talk about the government at some point.
